Thanks for all the advice; I'll let y'all know how it turns out.
I next course of action will likely be rebuilding the calipers. As the rear
brakes work well (no obstruction), the caliper hoses have been replaced, and
the old m/c is in no condition to do a comparison test without being a major
headache, this seems the most logical course of action. As I said before,
the probably need it anyway...
