Well, almost a month to the day I put the deposit down on that 66 MGB roadster,
it failed the smog test. So, the deal fell through. According to the
mechanic,
it was because of the "fat" cam the PO had installed. So, I'm back on the
prowl
for a 67 or earlier MGB (with a stock cam of course.) If I can be picky, I'm
leaning towards a 65, not just because of the nifty pull handles, but because
it's exempt from California smog rules. So if anyone knows of any for sale in
the San Francisco bay area, just drop me a line.
