if you mean the inverted spin on that was used on later cars or the hanging
type fitted to some. then it is a fram PH43. you may also use a PH8 (which
is an extended PH43), 
but if you have the inverted type you should fit a longer oil tube to the
spin on adapter, this will keep the oil from siphoning off after the car is
shut down, and alow for the oil pressure to build up quicker. rather than
having to fill the empty area of the filter, then build pressure. 
 
 
it is actually easier than it sounds.
