I personally haven't tried this on my Midget, but I have a friend
who uses the black paint for tyres on the worn out hood of his B. Doesn't
seem to do any harm and it comes up looking great. Cheap alternative to
prolong the life (looks anyway!) of the hood until he commences a full
resto. mid next year.
