To All,

I'm in the process of restoring a 1966 MKI MGB and have just started
into the rear axle. My question is, besides new hub bearings and oils
seals (which I've already purchased, and as soon as I get a 1-15/16"
socket to remove the bearing nut I'll have that done), is there any
restoration I can do to the differential itself? I would assume that the
pinion oil seal and differential housing gasket should be replaced, but
is that within the scope of a garage shop mechanic? I've already rebuilt
the front suspension, front calipers and rack-and-pinion steering so my
confidence is high, but I don't want to get in over my head.

Thanks in advance.
