Since you don't mention what year/model of MG you're working on, it's
difficult to answer the question even though most MGs use the same type
wiring/color coding regardless of the year of manufacture.
The best way to solve any wiring problem is to have the proper wiring
diagram, a volt/ohm meter and/or a test light. However, if you don't
have a wiring diagram, please reply with the year and model of your MG and
someone on the list may be able to help you.
