You can get all the details about your car; the build date, what original
equipment came on it, all the details from the factory records. 

They have information on the following:

AUSTIN               Cars and commercial vehicles, most models 1945-69
AUSTIN  HEALY   Longbridge and Abingdon built(not Warick built or 100's) 1953

LAND ROVER      Series I, II, IIa, IIb, & III 1948-79

METROPOLITAN  Nash, Hudson, Austin 1953-61

MINI                     Austin, Morris, Mini Cooper, etc. 1959-69

MG                      from start of TF Midget & ZA Magnette (not TC, TD,
YA/YT/YB     
                           models) 1953-80

MORRIS              cars & some light commercials, most models (not Morris
   
                           commercials) 1928-71

RANGE ROVER   all models 1969-79

RILEY                  from start of Pathfinder model (not 1.5 & 2.5 litre
models) 1953-69

ROVER                all models 1945-80

STANDARD          cars & light commercials

TRIUMPH             all models 1946-80

VANDEN PLAS    also records of many earlier Vanden Plas bodied cars 1959-80 
PRINCESS
