Engine Rebuild Price

Thanks to the many who answered my question on what was a fair price for
rebuilding an MG engine.  The vote was nearly unanimous that $4000 was too
high a price.  That was my feeling, but its nice to get so much support
from this group.  I merely have to shop around in the Concord to S.F. area
for competent MG mechanics, and get some more estimates.  Any suggestions
would be appreciated, and thanks to those who have already suggested leads.
