It was on the news this morning here in the UK that 80% of Lotus has been
sold to Proton of South Korea, the sum was undisclosed.
This should hopefully generate their survival for a little while, if any of
you have seen the new Lotus Elise (shares the same engine as the base MGF),
it harks back to the days of the Lotus 7, new style body, basic interior, no
luggage room whatsoever, but a complete and utter hooligan of a car, real
grit your teeth and grin stuff :-)
