Barney (and other northerners),

I am so relieved. The 29 degree weather here in Dallas is gone. We had to
endure two days... what a world , what a world.

Today, I did some shopping in my MG to get a replacement inner tube, the
spare is flat. Not many places even know what those are any more. My regular
source closed after 29 years in business. A young lady at Western Auto (one
of the places I looked for the inner tube at) came running out as I was
backing out of my parking place in front of the store. She said "I just love
your car". That is one of the reasons I love an MG. If you drive a $75,000
Porsche, you may get the finger (or keyed), if you drive an MG, you very
likely will have someone stop you and want to complement you on the car and
tell you when their "uncle bob used to have one", or in this case, when mom
had one. A very sociable automobile, nothing to prove... just cute. By the
way, so was she.

It was sunny and 63 degrees today. The top was down, me with a flannel shirt
and sun glasses, the tonneau was on and so was the Moody Blues. Now that's
more like it. Gawd, I love Texas! If you don't like the weather, just wait a
day or two.

I know I'm going to be sorry for saying this but, I just couldn't help
myself.
