Spoke to Heritage factory again, got a different person but much the
same story. Chrome shell is the 4-synchro version, but even the
rubber bumper version requires mods. Interestingly, he said that
although the shell used for the rebuild was a new (modified) shell,
the second shell that was on display was the original, repaired shell
that had been repainted, undercoated, everything.
I see Motorspeed in Sussex are advertising in "Enjoying MG" BMH MGB
bodyshells fully sprayed for 3350 UK Sterling including delivery up
to 50 miles and all of London.
