Jumping out of gear may be caused by less drastic and expensive problems. If
caught sufficiently early, the problem can often be cured by merely changing a
synchro ring. May the indents are sticking in the selector mechanisms. This
would cost nothing in parts to fix. For a new laygear and gear - get a
mortgage!!

Jumping out of gear ias caused by the face of the gear not being parallel to
the other gear . The only way to fix this problem is to replace the first
gear and posible the cluster gear .
