been there, done that. just got station here at altus afb, ok and went
through some of the same problems. my B is registered in va and my license
must, under va law, be with va to drive the car. insurance must be with the
state that you are living in. if it is a tdy no problems, but if you pcs'd
up to ny then the insurance must change. my family car-VW vr6-(wife did not
think a BGT is a family car-still trying!!) is registered in tx with the
insurance in ok, but i still drive it under a va license. most places i
been (i always take the B with me when i go tdy or PCS) are pretty good
about military as long as they see the base sticker on the car. good luck
