There is a flattened airfilter unit available for this application. Seven
Enterprises and Pierce Manifolds carry it. I believe moss and Vicky might
also carry it. Get the K&N version if you can.

        Hey Listers,
I am in the process of removing the downdraft Weber from my '76 'B to
install a pair of SU HS4s. With the brake booster (servo?) located where it
is, my choice of air filters appears to be limited. Does anyone have any
suggestions as to an aftermarket filter kit that will fit and look good? The
chrome ones with the octagon logo available from VB, Moss, et al look nice
but they won't clear the booster.
An old parts catalogue I came across ("Start Your Engines"-anyone remember
them?)suggested cutting the spacer blocks in half. Any thoughts?

Update on the personalized plates sweepstakes:
Some suggestions not entirely in keeping with the original guidelines but
cool none the less-
        TOPLESS
        TOPDOWN
        B JAMMN
        SUNBURN
Ideas are still coming in and they're great!
It appears that I may have incensed some Miata owners in my first posting by
stating that NOTTA MIATA would be a neat plate. Replies ranged from a light
toasting to outright flaming. If any Miata owners have been insulted I do
apologize as it was not my intent.
