I've got to agree with you on this David.  I put 185/70 - 14 P3's on my `76
with chrome 6" wires and as far as I'm concerned it was about the best thing
I ever did to it.  I think the bulkier rubber looks great with a rubber
bumper car, it makes the higher ride height look right and there's very
little you can do short of the suicidal to break all four of those puppies
loose.  I 'm not sure how I'd feel about those big tires on the GT but I'd
do it again to a rubber bumper car without a moments hesitation.
