        Well, Bill, you can weld in replacement panels instead of new
front fenders.  The problem is that you need to take them off  to weld on
them or to replace them.  The aftermarket panels will likely not fit well
to begin with.  New fenders can have a fitting problem, as well.  It
boils down to the fact that if your time is worth anything, new is the
way to go.  You will have hours and hours repairing front fenders.  If
the rust is showing around the rockers, either front or rear, then it
will be worse inside.  If it has gotten into the inner rockers, you are
in for a hard weekend.  Replacement panels are a viable alternative for
the rear quarters.  Replacing the whole quarter is a job that most won't
attempt.  Always keep in mind that rust will be worse than you expect and
certainly worse than you can see.
