Lacquer thinner will probably remove the overspray, but at the very least
it will leave the vinyl dull. At worst, it will really do a job on it.
Try the thinner in a hidden area to see what it does.
If lacquer thinner is too harsh, probably the best of the cheap solutions
is to buy vinyl paint and recoat the vinyl. See the ads in the supplies
section of Hemmings Motor News.
