Having just experienced a collapsed brake line about a month ago and having
used vice-grips as clamps on the errant line until the next day when the
new lines were received ...

I'm wondering if clamping down on a good brake line/hose will cause the
line to begin breaking down on the inside? I had no reservations about
clamping a bad line, but I'd be apprehensive about clamping down a new one.

Thoughts???
