Mike:

It turned out that the my hardtop is an after market product that was
purchased by the original owner from a now defunct company called "Vintage
Specialists" in the late 1960's. The top is fibreglass with three rear
windows and uses essentially the same mounting hardware as the soft top.
It is in great shape ( and still for sale ). I had hoped to bring it with
me to British Invasion VII, in Stowe next weekend, but a blown clutch has
likely taken care of that for this year! On the good news front, I pulled
the engine and tranny yesterday and the work on replacing the clutch
starts today (13th wedding anniversary, so likely not much work!) No real
problems removing everything except that "Mr. Rear Transmission Mount
Bolt" had to be introduced to "Mr. Sawzall". Also had to remove the
timing chain cover to finally get the engine out. I just could not get
enough angle to lift the front past the timing indicator flange on the
bottom of the cover!. I guess each lbc has its own idiosyncrasies.

Cheers,
