My car has had two BPOs. I bought the car a few months ago and have
spent $25 in repairs (busted fuel level sender). The major maintenance
has been to clean the engine compartment (lots of oil). Most repairs
have been performed at reputable shops (I have receipts) and through 2
owners and 22 years, they had put only 52,000 miles on the car. The
engine and all emmissions items are original.
