Was reviewing this message and I see a possible error that I thought I
should correct.  Positive or negative earth DOES make a difference to the
tach if you changed from one to the other.  In that case you need to run
the wire loop the opposite way from the way it went for the prior ground
setup.  So, if you dont change the ground polarity, you don't need to
change the loop direction (unless it was wrong all along).  All in the
interest of accuracy!
