Jim. - what you have found is almost certainly a Sunbeam version of the
Hillman Imp (sorry, just cant think what the sunbeam name was but it was
a badge-engineered imp with plushier trim) - mid sixties is probably
correct
Im no expert on the cars except they were created by chrysler/rootes as a
competitor to the mini, they pretty much looked the same from the back as
the front and were very popular for souping up as formula 3 rods. - in 18
years living in the states i have NEVER seen one on the road and dont
even remember seeing one at a show.
