Mike,
Just replaced my blower motor. Easy as pie if you end up needing to switch
but you're right to check out the motor first. Here's an easy check, run a
hot and ground wires to the two wires coming out of the fan (there's about 3
inches of wire off the fan with bullet connections).
If it runs then check the interior switch and the fuses.
If it hums but does not really run then take it out and check for an
obstruction - no obstruction = bum motor.
If it does not run I'd take it out and see if you can get a used one (new are
about $70).
Oh, BTW, if you have the blower motor out get the shop vac and vacuum out the
box.
Personally, I've never had a blower motor fail but I have had the fan
self-destruct on a few.
