Hi all,

I am new to this mailing list, so if you don't recognize me... that is why.

My situtation:
I have a '67 MG Midget which recently let loose a bunch of gear oil on one
of my rear tires. Not being an expert mechanic, I dont know if there are
any pit falls I should be aware of in trying to replace the oil seal.

I have taken the wheel off, freed the splined hub for the wire wheel ( i did
not pull it out yet), removed the brake drum, and now the axel can pull
free.

If I pull the axel out is there a change of losing a gear into the
differetial?
Is there anything I need to know to change the oil seal?

The manuals I have only show an exploded view but don't detail the process.

Thanks in advance

my email is a-orjanl@microsoft.com
