A bit off topic maybe, but since you asked, yeah, 'anal retentive' is
correct. It refers to a fixation of energy in the second stage of Freud's
"psychosexual" theory  of development, the anal stage (from 1-3 years of
age,) and is characterized by excessive orderliness or stinginess.  (It's
mirror twin is 'anal expulsive' behaviour.)
