Oof, just yesterday I noticed that the output of my B's alternator has
dropped significantly! The readings from my Smiths amp- and volt-meters:

15 amps max, even with lights and heater on (down from ~35)
12.5-13.0V max, with the 13.0V only occurring at highway speeds (down
from ~13.7)

So I know there's a problem, but aside from replacing the alternator
completely, is there a systematic method to pinpoint the problem??? E.g.,
if it's a bad diode(s), how can I confirm this? (And to think I actually
did well in my electronics class in college!)

BTW, the alternator is a Lucas type ACR alternator, which I believe is
original for a '69 B...

Thanks,
-Felix
