Actually a lot of things are cheaper now if you consider what the
average pay was back then.I was making around $150 a week so a $2000 Gt
would cost me 13 weeks work Today i make $825 a week( Thank you Union)
and today you can get a nice Gt for $3000 So I only have to work under4
weeks.
I bought a 30W Marantz reciever in '73 for $285 almost 2 weeks pay today
I can get a much better reciever for less than a weeks pay.The younger
people think these prices were cheap but they were not .I paid $28000
for a house with 280 a month payments and it was killing me!Now if I
could take my income today and go back in time that would be neat!
