>someone told me once that the gearing for 4th in a 4 speed was the same as >5th on a 5 speed. is this true? Most 4 speeds I know of have a top gear of 1:1, most 5 speeds have around a .8:1 (that's point 8 to one), hence the name 'overdrive'. CTP |
