My dream MGB would have to be a '70 when they had the bitchin' recessed grille
and the split rear bumpers. (Unless they had the split bumpers in '71!)
Color would have to be the bright orange or bright yellow. No primrose, but I
don't think the bright yellow was an option until later cars. Early-style
metal dash. '77-'80 seats seem to be the most comfortable. Autumn leaf
interior, with carpets. Fender mirrors, not door. Overdrive, and 72-spoke
chrome wire wheels, without a doubt. Winged, not octagon knockoffs. Lucas
foglamps. Front airdam color keyed to match the paint. '79 lucas electronic
ignition. Early-style heads and no emissions. Front sway bar, with V-8
bushings. Plastic or fibreglass gas tank. Fibreglass fenders and hood, but
not sebring-style. Roll bar a must, with retactable seat belts. Union Jack
carefully sprayed on the boot. Matching door, boot and glovebox locks.
Later-style folding top frame with matching autumn leaf top, tonneau, and rail
cover. Am I forgetting anything?
