Hi Terry:

When I painted my engine I found a very good paint and very close color at
Canadian Tire. It's in a spray can and is called something like "Decorator
Color" and is sold as a household paint. There are about 6 colors in the
series and you simply pick by cap color. There is no other close match in
the series.

It's an acrylic enamel which as you know is basically the same as most car
paint. My engine looks great after 6,000 miles and nearly 3 years. No
signs of heat discoloration or deterioration. It was easy to apply and
flowed out nicely with great sag and run resistance. The only prep was to
powerwash the engine.
