| Subject: | MGA/Magnette oil filler cap |

Coincidentally, both my 1970 MGB and 1958 Magnette need oil filler caps. The B engine is a later one and needs a sealed cap, but the current one on there is not sealing very well and occasionally lets out a puff of smoke. The Magnette engine does not require a sealed cap. How is the Magnette (MGA) cap vented? I am wondering if I can drill a hole in the MGB one and use it for the Magnette to save a few bucks. -- Trevor Boicey Ottawa, Canada tboicey@brit.ca http://www.brit.ca/~tboicey/ |
