Hey Bruce and all:
I've gotten a lot of positive feedback from listers who like the idea of
a MGB trailer! As I anticipate the development of a trailer, I too,
have considered how I will use my '67 GT to haul the trailer. The MG
bumper is so flimsy, I wouldn't trust it at all!
I went to Barney Gaylord's web site and checked out his MGA trailer
hitch, which looks great. Unfortunately, there isn't as much room at
the rear of the B as there is in the A for the hitch to be hidden from
view.
I'm considering building a Class I hitch assembly that will bolt on to
the rear bumper brackets. The rear bumper will remain in place. The
hitch will be visible from the rear of the car, but with the receiver
removed and painted Tartan Red as the rest of the car, I don't think it
will stand out in a horrible way.
Anybody out there got a better idea on how to fabricate a hitch for the
B? All suggestions welcome!
