Mike, 
I put one on both my 73 and 80 B's. Both installations worked well, and
looked good after. As for tips, if you have access to large clamps get
'em. Small pieces of wood and cardboard to act as wedges are also
needed. Dry fit the cap and figure out where you're going to clamp or
wedge before gluing down. If you can try to make any cracks in the dash
as level as possible, so the cap goes on evenly. Be patient, you've got
time to work with the glue when you put it on. It'll look great after
you're done. Good luck.
