Dan,
Installing the header is easy.  I wasn't aware you could even buy them
pre-installed.  It took about 20 minutes to put mine in. The old top pulls off
the header.  I cleaned the old contact cement off by just rubbing it with my
hand. (I did sand and paint the old header - not included in the 20 minutes)
I layed the top out on the game room floor, and coated both top and header with
contact cement. 
The only tricky part is lining it up properly.  The weather strip base then pop
rivets or screws back on and helps hold the top to the header.  Certainly worth
saving the $200.  I'm guessing you have a header, if not I have an extra, let
me know.
