Well, I finally received my order from Victoria British, and it arrived
on June 1st (12 days after the order date), just as I figured. All was
not right with the world, however. Upon opening the large box (oddly
off balance so it wanted to stand up on end), I found that the original
type sill plates were perfect reproductions, except for the small but
noticeable dent in the middle! It seems that the replacement brake
servo that I had also ordered had been tumbling about inside the large
box, wreaking havoc on the sill plates. I had thought that the dreaded
styrofoam packing popcorn would have prevented the order from acting
like a lapidary tumbler, and it probably would have if they had only
filled the box all the way with the stuff! (it was only half full of
popcorn) This is the SECOND set of sill plates I have ordered, the
first (from Moss) was nothing like the original and they were creased in
the middle (also a casualty of shipping).

One thing to VBs credit, when I informed them of the problem, they
immediately offered to send me another set of sill plates, free of
charge. I will await their arrival (in another 12 days) with baited
breath...

Cheers,
Paul Kile
