0900-1100- fitted new powdercoated wires to the GT, - man they look
good!
took some time to clean up the calipers and rear drums

1100-1200- test drive to make sure the wheels work!! they do..

1200-1300- got a haircut, (even though i only had one 2 months ago!)

1330-1630- cleaned the four wires that came off the GT - its amazing how
dirty an
apparentlly clean wheel actually is, i used about a pint of
degreaser,
two toothbrushes and about 10 perfectly good rags - not to
mention
a lot of water, repainted them in silver and clearcoated
them, came
out pretty well, even the overspray on the tyres came off
easily with
some wire wool - i think the GT may get to keep the "new"
wheels
and these ones can go on the 69

1645-2000- packed the wife into the 72 - it was so nice we had to have a
little country drive which ended up being 120 miles up to
Amenia in NY then back through the artsy fartsy part of CT
(Sharon, Kent etc)- beautiful scenery
and despite still having to run on full choke the car
performed well
saw one RB roadster (who didnt wave) and one grey TC (who
did)

Aint summer great!!

mike robson
