Well, I might as well chime in here since my name has been mentioned a
couple of times. I managed to meet David Deutsch, Mike Robson, Larry
Macy, and "Dr. Doug" Russell from the list. Walked all around the show,
looking for list hats and peoples' names on cars - that's how I found
Robson - but the list hat is hard to spot!

David's son's car looks pretty good with the Union Jack on the boot lid.
And, yes, I ended up parked next to a white GT with a Union Jack on the
top. The owner is from Baltimore, I believe, and I've seen his car a
number of times. Doesn't look all that bad, either.

Enjoyed John Twist's tech session on "problem solving", with folks
bringing their cars into the tent for an on-the-spot diagnosis. Don't
know many folks who would attempt what John did - with great success I
might add.

The weather was simply outstanding. For a July day in this area, it was
absolutely delightful. I didn't have quite so long a drive as Dr Doug,
but I enjoyed my 105 mile trip, both coming and going. I too, was
pleased by the judging that I saw. I didn't see all the awards, but
concentrated on the GT class. I was impressed by the quality of the
popular vote as I thought the correct cars won awards - particularly the
first place car owned by a fellow named Collier. Thought that was about
the nicest example of a GT that I've ever seen. And Robson's taking
third place has destroyed my theory about "how to win in popular vote
shows". I have always thought that you just had to open the bonnet to
get votes - but no! Nice car, Mike - glad you were in the winner's
circle. And I certainly agree about the Concours winner from Oklahoma.
Since that's my home state, I stopped and chatted a bit. Agree that
this is one nice fellow and he has a super nice car.

Nice day, nice cars, and met some nice folks - and I agree about the
great job done by the Baltimore club.
