Actually, the best thing to put on the vinyl and rubber is Vap-O-rub.
It keeps everything like-new shiny, and keeps the moths out and your
sinuses clear. This last is valuable for staving off the sniffles from
driving a leaky, drafty MG!
Keeps the cats away, too!
