I have used for years a bodyshop product called Ditzol(Sp ?) It is a wax
and dirt remover, but it will remove glue, overspray etc. without harming
older paint . I believe it can remove overspray from vinyl also, but it
must be washed off, soon after applying it. I buy a gallon every five years
or so from a bodyshop paint supply. Cleans touch up brushes too. Great
product. Its a thinner, but is gentle.
