Hot off the press,

Less than 24 hours ago I picked up tools and a camera and proceded to
document my installation of rear hub seals on my MGA. The important news
here is that the job included the installation of SPEEDI-SLEEVEs on the
rear axle housing to repair badly worn grooves in the surfaces that the
rubber hub seals ride against. This entire process also applies to the
early MGB models with banjo style rear axle. And the Speedi-Sleeve
installation is very similar wherever you put them, such as on a crankshaft
pulley or the rear end of the crankshaft on a 5-main engine.

For those with a need to know, there are now 20 new pictures (plus
thumbnail images for your convenience) on my web site along with a
completely documented tour of the rear hub seal and sleeve installation
process. Just point your browser to the following address, follow the link
to "Rear Axle Tech", and enjoy the tour.

For a net speed reference, I just accessed my ntsource.com web site through
my AOL account (during lunch hour) and downloaded the entire sequence in
about 10 minutes.

Cheers,
