We're talking about the same switch LH side of the cowl - i will have to
go to the manual this evening but the function of mine is definitely to
disable the overdrive
My 69 doesnt have the switch at all,

69 roadster (o/d - no switch)
70 BGT(o/d - with switch
72 roadster(no o/d no switch!!)
