Hi Don - my son and I have a small restoration shop in Kelowna, B.C.
and have had four of the Canadian MGB LE's in our hands during the
last two years. There were only 250 LE's made for the Canadian market
and they had a small engraved plaque installed on the glove box door
indicating what number the car was (e.g. MGB Limited Edition 15/250).
We have had #15, 51, 174, & 249 .

The differences were:
1. Front spoiler
2. Smaller leather wrapped steering wheel.
3. LE stripes down the side.
4. MOST had overdrive, but not all.
5. MOST had Autumn Leaf interior, but some of the earlier ones had black.
6. Luggage Rack.
7. All were black.

I think that's it. Basically, the Brits were learning from the Yanks how
to make a few extra bucks out of a model by adding a few touches and
calling it a Limited Edition. In the U.S. the Limited
Edition production was actually limited to the number of cars
they could sell (somewhere around 6500 I believe).

Hope this is helpful.

Cheers,
