Well, I binnen gonnen dunnit, I have bought the 53 Riley ive mentioned
over the past few months and as a result have to at least make an effort
to sell the 72 so that everyone gets a stall in the stable - and the wife
..... well you know!!
Its an emotional decision since this is my "everyday" car and the first
one i restored when i returned to the fold three or so years ago and was
at that time just a sound shell in several colours of primer and fairly
close to the knackers yard!
It isnt a show car but it looks good and is way above beater status.
Bud K. had his chance but got to Vermont before he made CT - hehe

Here is as much info as i can recall whilst wiping tears from my reddened
eyes, I will try to mention all the warts as well as the beauty spots!

1972 CB roadster, dark BRG was originally orange and engine compartment
(whilst scrupulously clean!) is still original colour Sound rockers and
floors incl boot(stripped and treated 2 yrs ago) slight rust in lower
front wings (no holes but cud use patches) total new interior incl NOS
panels, carpet in boot and undetectable dash cap , 2 yr old hood with
CLEAR windows), NOS grille last year(honeycomb) new brake system
throughout, total front end rebuild, new shocks all round, new fuel
pump, new water pump, refinished rostyles and tyres have about 6000 on
them, new windscreen (no scratches!) Chrome is not perfect but both
bumpers and overriders are straight .
New side chrome strips and various other trim pieces/badges etc - oh! AND
it has TWO, intact seat belt holders!!!! hehe Who else can say that??

under the bonnet
------------------------
1967 engine and trans, 5mb one of which is suspect but hasnt got any
worse in 18 months, does not use oil excessively, about 1Q per 200 miles,
ALL gaskets intact, HIFs which could use a rebuild
New heater core and heater ancilliaries (actually works and keeps your
feet warm in the winter) new wiper motor, recon starter and
alternator,M/c and slaves, horns. everything rubber replaced last year

Drives like a dream, for whatever reason it is the "peppiest" of my 3
cars - if i dont sell it it will go into deep storage for a year or so
and i will do it all again!!! hehe
Seriously, its a very clean car, a good driver that will need some engine
work eventually. it was appraised at $5000 last year and as with all
projects probably cost twice that! (I dont count!)

Looking to get $4000 from someody who will USE it and improve it!
Located in Ridgefield CT, about 50 miles north of NYC
