questions about '60 MGA for sale

I found another MGA for sale this weekend.  Haven't driven it yet, but the
owner offers the following info:  "puff of blue smoke from exhaust after
driving hard and letting off the accelerator", "at 60 mph you can tell wheels
need to be trued", "right front shock leaking badly".  
Any ideas as to types of problems "puff of blue smoke" might indicate, any
ideas as to cost of truing wheels and replacing shock?
