Hi again,

Update on my original post, same title. The alternator has no visible
part number. It's obviously a Lucas (says so on it) with a paper tag saying
"Remanufactured for Lucas". It has three terminals, the upper (outermost) is
.25" wide, the center one is .5" wide and the lowest one is .25" wide. Their
edges are aligned on the left when viewing the end with the Lucas name rightside
up. The alternator connector on the new harness is designed for an alternator
with a .25" blade at the top and center and lower blades are .5". The edge
alignment is opposite to that of my alternator so it can not be forced on.

The terminals involved are most assuredly those of the diode assembly.
Moss only lists a single rectifier assembly (130-240, No. 40 on Page 53 of
MGB-09) that appears to be this type. Would anyone happen to know what the
terminal configuration is like on that one? My easiest bet might be to just
install a new rectifier assembly. TIA.
