When coils have died in my cars, they die a slow, lingering death that makes
the car drive like a slug.
However, this reminds me of a phenomenon I've experienced many times and I'd
like to know if anyone else has also. Whenever I buy a car that hasn't been
driven in over 1 year (up to 20 years), the coil dies 6 months after I start
driving the car.
Has anyone else who buys abandoned cars (MG 1100's) noticed this? Is there a
rational explanation for this? Or is it the drugs?
