Got you beat! Texas was absolutely miserable this this summer.
100+ temperatures seemed like every single day, and not a drop
of rain.

Yet, for the last two months (Oct. and Nov.) the fall season has
been very unusually spring like. Looks as if December may be just
as pleasant. I am going to enjoy this lovely break in the heat
(and cold) for as long as it lasts.

Top down running for 2 months straight now!

Finally, my significant other begins to appreciate why I spend
endless hours in the garage and countless dollars on my little
Tuna ('77 MGB). And all the while, I send the other cars to the
local Mechanic. Its just not the same (if you know what I mean
and I think you do).

A little side comment to the woodpecker in the fuel pump...
I recently (in August) installed a new fuel pump. Got the
same rapping sounds. I installed a metal bracket with rubber
pads onto the outside of the trunk. Than I installed the new
fuel pump (not spec. or original but close enough). Never
hear a sound from the fuel pump. The only concern (for me)
was to ensure a solid ground. While your under there, you
might consider replacing the hot wire (its very easy) and
also, install an inertia cut-off switch! This is simple,
too, and might even save your life. Good luck.

Stay on the roads.
