Hi all,

Just wanted to clear something up that didn't come out right in my last
Email.

Wire Wheels were always optional on B's as they originally came with the
disc type steel wheels with hubcaps - until 1970 that is - when they
switched the standard wheel to Rostyles. I'm not entirely sure if this
situation was different for export cars - were disc wheels available in
the US or were earlier cars all wires? Frequently export cars are better
equipped than home market cars (our F's in AU are are better equipped
for example). But I'm almost certain that w/w's were always optional in
the UK and never standard for both Roadster and GT. You had to pay
additional $ (don't have a pound sign sorry <G>) for them when you
ordered your car (Factory option). Whats interesting is there can't have
been hardly anyone who chose to keep the standard wheels, as you hardly
ever see B's with them on today - at least here in Australia. That said,
the one or two MkII GT's I've seen tooling around with them look quite
nice! :)

Cheers,
Neil.
