I figure that eat, sleep and be merry is living.  Otherwise, to pay some of
the bills, occasionally I act like an engineering consultant (mostly
machine design), work at home and don't commute much (at least not to work).

When I was really young I took a hint from a school teacher, work 9 months
and take 3 months off in the summer.  In more recent years I've been
stretching it a little more, like work one month less each year.  By now
I've got it all the other way around, take 9 months off and work 3 months
in the winter.  Ya jest has to git yer priorities right.  <VBG>
