Well, I'm back, after a relatively long hiatus.

And, of course, I come bearing a question. First I should say that my
rebuild ended uneventfully, the car runs great, purring like a kitten (or
at least a kitten with an exaust leak...I'll worry about that later).

My problem is that occasionally (I haven't found the pattern yet) when I
turn the key to engage the starter, nothing happens. When I release the
key, there's a clicking sound, but when I turn it, there's no solenoid
noise or anything. When this happened last night (about the third time in
as many days) I tried it with the lights on, and turning the key didn't
have an noticeable effect on the headlight brightness, so I don't think
it's the battery. After a few tries, and maybe 60 seconds of
embarrassment, all of a sudden, the starter will start cranking, and the
engine, like the mostly new beast that it is, starts right up.

I figure it's gotta be a connection, and I'm going out to check them out
this morning. I just want to make sure this isn't a symptom of something
more vile. Ignition switch? Starter motor? The battery at least is under
warrenty, but I don't think that's it (of course by the MG rule, it
probably is...right?).

Thanks, and it's good to be back.
